Prayers
PRESENTATION
‘Watch ye, and pray’ (Mtt. XXVI, 41). This is the motto every Catholic should follow. Watch against the world’s dangers and temptations, chiefly by studying to defend against the attacks to faith, against the dangers of the flesh, polishing the virtues and praying.'He who prays, is saved; he who prays not, is damned!' (St. Alphonsus Liguori, The necessity of prayer). Life of prayer should then serve to the soul’s nourishment. This session has the fundamental Catholic prayers: Creed, Hail Mary, Our Father, daily prayers, rosary, and some devotions: novenas, various prayers etc., in English and Latin, Church’s official language.
